The Academy is a homeschool hybrid program that employs teachers to partner with parents in the education of their children. 

 

  • Classroom instruction is Monday - Wednesday from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm

  • Each grade level will consist of up to 12 students with one teacher per class

  • Teachers will provide instruction across all content areas during class time

  • Students are expected to complete additional assignments and tasks at home with their parents each week. Teachers will provide instructions for parents on these at-home tasks. 

  • Parents will declare homeschool with the Georgia Department of Education for their student(s) using an online form.

 

Early registration begins for everyone on January 29. Priority for church members and preschool students will end February 12. All applicants will then be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. The non-refundable registration fee of $50 is required to complete the registration. Registration needs to be paid to Chatsworth First Methodist (include the student name and “The Academy” in the memo line).

The Academy will need a copy of immunization records or exemption form on file by Sept. 10. 

Open House will be scheduled in August for students and parents to meet our teachers. More information regarding the day-to-day schedule will be available then. 

  

 

 **Your financial commitment is critical to planning for and meeting the costs of teachers’ salaries and budget. We are asking you to make a financial commitment for the entire school year. Tuition payments begin September 1st.
